By utilizing data visualization and symbolism to navigate complexity my work creates space to explore and articulate emotional granularity. On a more personal level, the reductive nature of my practice is a compulsive attempt to contain the uncomfortable and overwhelming loss of control that accompanies complex emotions. Through engaging and reclaiming historically recognizable and culturally genericized symbols as metaphorical tools the work positions itself in the spaces between intuition and intellect, childhood hope and adult reality and the impermanent present and the archival past.
